The Maryland Safe At Home Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) assists survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, or harassment to rebuild their lives without fearing for their safety by providing a legal substitute address to use in place of their actual address. For survivors who have recently relocated, the ACP’s substitute address and free mail-forwarding service prevents perpetrators from discovering the location of their victims through the internet or a public records search. The ACP recently expanded eligibility to threatened individuals such as judges, law enforcement officers, and prosecutors.
